Alex and Rob are back with some listening highlights from this month, with some soothing sounds to gently guide you into summer...

You can check out the full Buymusicclub list here

Various Artists - Dub meets Techno

Fantastic compilation that does what it says on the tin; the dubbiest of dub techno soundscapes to get lost in from Poland’s Moonshine Recordings.

memotone - How Was Your Life?
Luscious acoustic percussion and digital tones interlock seamlessly on this release from Bristol’s memotone.

Billus - Dust In Bloom
Following up 2022’s lush, sun-tinged ‘Shifting Sands’ EP on Animalia, Melbourne-based producer Billus steps up with 9 tracks of pure bliss. Running through melty ambient, dusty downtempo and warm, vibrant house, this is a must-listen for fans of dubbed-out, meditative dance music.

Milieu - Compline
Lovely long-form ambient to get swallowed up in from Ohio’s Milieu. Beautifully tranquil and filled with warmth, this is a treat for your ears and your mind.

Ayami Suzuki - Passages
Textural goodness throughout this work from Ayami Suzuki. Lingering melodies and choirs work together to put you atop a cloud you won’t want to get down from.

Keplrr - Petra
Within his bass-heavy, mutated club music, Keplrr has always displayed a knack for atmospheric synth work and cushioning ambience. ‘Petra’, fully embraces these facets of his sound, utilising an IDM-tinged sound palette and haunting vocals to mesmeric effect.

nimu - Picture In Picture

Dreamy ambient from a label that never misses, perfect for locking in and drifting away.

deeptea - Formless Decline

Jazz-fused ambient from Seattle based deeptea. Fuses acoustic drums and bass sounds with field recordings and really impressive sound-work.

Ebende - All The Way Through

Swedish producer Ebende comes through with a beautiful, almost-dubstep (?) track, rooted in sparkling synths and a call-and-response vocal sample.

KWC 92 - Dreamin’ Of A Vacation
A dreamy, nostalgic work out on Trilogy Tapes.  Weaves between new age ambient, video game music and vaporwave-tinged beats but with a consistency that is hard to replicate. One to watch!

HVL - Lightsail

Another wicked collection of tracks from Georgia’s HVL, who never seems to miss. Deep, hypnotic hardware jams to get the feet and heart moving as one.

Polygonia - iTiTi
Field-recording techno jam here out on Madrid-based Phase.ctv. A lovely concotion of sounds for you to enjoy, underlaid by a solid but calming groove.
